Silas Jimmy is a passionate Software Engineer and the Founder of Dema Africa, an early-stage food tech startup based in Nairobi, Kenya. With a strong background in fullstack software development, he is dedicated to building impactful, innovative, and sustainable solutions using technology.
Previously, Silas worked as a Fullstack Software Developer at ConnectedLife Health Pte, a Singapore-based health tech company, where he was responsible for implementing configuration functionalities in the company’s web dashboard to help health practitioners better monitor their patients’ health and wellness.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Pwani University and is currently advancing his expertise in Data Science through the African Leadership Experience (ALX) program. At Dema Africa, Silas is leading the development of a tech-driven solution aimed at promoting healthy eating habits among young adults in Kenya by leveraging nutritional knowledge and digital tools.
